What is Royalty free Music?
Music purchased from Key Sounds is royalty free. This means that after paying a one-time fee or subscribing, you can use the music you have purchased as many times as you like. NB: ‘Public Performance’ royalties are still owed to the composer when broadcast publicly (film, television, radio, etc). These royalties are paid only by the network broadcasting the music and NOT by you or your clients.
Does my license cover my clients?
Yes! When you license a track, the music is cleared for unlimited use in your own content as well as that of your clients (within the usage terms of the License).
How long do the licenses last?
Key Sounds' SINGLE TRACK licenses are granted in perpetuity which means that once you have generated the license for a given production, you never need to worry about attaining another license for that content (provided that the usage remains within the scope of your License Agreement).Subscription allows you unlimited access to the library while your subscription is active. If you cancel, you are no longer permitted to use our music in any future projects, even if you previously downloaded the tracks.
Can I use this track in my YouTube video?
Yes! Usage in YouTube videos is covered by all our license tiers, however you will not be able to monetize your video if you are subscribing to the PRIMARY tier. If you do wish to monetize your video you will have to upgrade to the STANDARD or PREMIUM tiers.
What is Content ID/YouTube (Third Party Claims)?
It is very unlikely that you will receive a Content ID claim, however they are generated automatically on YouTube so it is possible that even though you have properly licensed the track you may still get a claim.Claims can be disputed by following these Guidelines Copy/paste the contents of your Key Sounds license pdf when presented with the box asking you to explain your claim. If after 24 hours the claim has not been released, email [email protected] and they will help you clear the claim. NB: A Content ID Claim will NOT effect your YouTube Channel status in any way.
Can you whitelist my YouTube Channel?
Whitelisting is reserved for PREMIUM Members only. If you have purchased a PREMIUM membership, contact us with your channel url and request to be whitelisted.
